Description of Tilia FoodSaver Vac 1075

FoodSaver?s patented dual-layer bags, made of UV-protective and FDA-approved materials, can be frozen (and prevent freezer burn on foods), microwaved, and boiled. Unlike the FoodSaver Vac 550 and 1050, the 1075 has an automatic locking lid, with no clips required. Two-hand press and release operates the device. An accessory port allows the included hose to be attached in order to vacuum seal homemade foods in jars, cans, and bottles, or in the kit?s 6-inch-diameter (50-ounce) canister. The kit also includes a selection of FoodSaver bags: three quart-size and two gallon-size, along with an 11-inch by 10-foot roll that can be cut to customized lengths. A how-to video takes away all the guesswork. White with gray trim, the FoodSaver Vac 1075 measures 17 by 6 by 4-1/4 inches.--Ann Bieri
